Leak: GTA 6 x Discord 'Hexagon' Campaign Dated Nov 17–Dec 8 With Themed Icons, Font and a Mystery Quest

Datamined Discord files point to a GTA 6 'Hexagon' campaign running Nov 17 to Dec 8 — themed icons, a custom font, and a mystery quest. Unconfirmed.

This story is based on a datamined leak. Neither Rockstar Games nor Discord has confirmed the collaboration, and plans found in code can change or be dropped before release.

GTA 6 is taking over Discord — or at least, it's supposed to. Discord dataminer Wumpus Central has dug up references to a limited-time promotional campaign between Discord and Rockstar Games, codenamed "Hexagon," hidden in Discord's latest Canary build. The leaked code reportedly includes campaign dates, and they line up exactly with the final marketing push before launch.

According to the datamine, shared on X on October 6, the campaign starts on November 17, 2026 at 18:00 UTC — just two days before GTA 6 launches on November 19 — and runs until December 8 for free users. Discord Nitro subscribers get to keep the perks much longer, with the files pointing to an end date of February 15, 2027 for Nitro members.

What's included is full GTA 6 branding for the app itself: a GTA VI-themed app icon, a matching Discord app theme, and a custom display name font in the game's style. Wumpus Central also published a preview of the desktop theme, which uses a pink-and-yellow gradient associated with Vice City. One outlet suggests the display font is likely Pricedown Black — the typeface Rockstar has used across the series — though the leak doesn't confirm the font name.

The most intriguing detail is also the vaguest. The datamined files reference a Discord Quest, but what players would have to do — and what they'd get for completing it — is unknown. A Discord Quest is the platform's existing marketing mechanic that lets users earn prizes and rewards by playing certain games or interacting with certain content. One possibility being floated is a GTA 6-themed reward, possibly spendable Discord Orbs or an in-game item, but that is pure speculation at this point — the leak only confirms that a quest exists in the code.

This is not the first time Rockstar and Discord have crossed paths. Watching the GTA VI trailer 1 through Discord previously earned users a short Nitro subscription, and past promotions have offered GTA Online cash for connecting accounts. A full pre-launch campaign is a bigger move, and it fits the marketing pattern Rockstar has been running: the LOVE magazine cover story, murals in New York, the Miami Heat "Vice City Heat" takeover with its own merchandise and rooftop billboard. A Discord event sits squarely in the final two weeks of the campaign calendar.

It also carries a note of irony. GTA 6 is not planned for PC at launch — it's listed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Microsoft just shut down hopes of a cloud-gaming workaround this week — yet here it is getting a tie-in with one of the most PC-first platforms there is. When it's GTA 6, everything sells.

Treat the usual caveats as active here. Wumpus Central does have a record of accurate Discord datamines — they previously surfaced the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Discord collaboration before it was announced — but no Rockstar or Discord announcement exists, and "Hexagon" could still change before November. If it holds, expect your Discord to look very Vice City for about three weeks around launch.
