GTA 6 Gets Four New Screenshots in LOVE Magazine — And Rockstar's Most Revealing Quotes Yet

Four official GTA 6 screenshots and a rare round of Rockstar quotes arrived via LOVE Magazine — on the game's satire, Lucia's role, and a world with "no background."

Grand Theft Auto 6's latest information drop did not come from a trailer or a games magazine. It came from a fashion magazine.

LOVE Magazine's Issue 27, titled "America's Most Wanted: Grand Theft Auto VI," goes on sale October 5, with excerpts surfacing on Instagram on October 2. The feature includes four official Rockstar screenshots — the first new captures in weeks — and, more unusually, a fresh round of on-the-record quotes from the famously press-shy studio. Softonic's October 4 breakdown and several GTA news channels have confirmed the details.

The screenshots are pure atmosphere. A black-and-white casual portrait shows Jason in a white vest and Lucia in a leopard-print crop top. Two more shots seat the pair opposite each other in a diner booth. The fourth captures a game of pool in what appears to be a biker bar, Jason dressed in bike leathers. These are not gameplay reveals — they are mood pieces, and deliberately so. Rockstar is choosing to sell this game through character and tone rather than systems.

The quotes are where the feature earns its keep. Rockstar says GTA 6's satire will feel "more over the top, more insane, more in your face" than real life — and the target is not the passing news cycle but influencer culture, internet behavior, and the everyday weirdness of digital life. It is the clearest statement yet of what this GTA is actually about: not a parody of Florida, but a parody of the timeline.

The world-building details keep the now-familiar drumbeat going. Leonida is pitched again as the biggest and most densely packed map Rockstar has ever built: Vice City, Everglades-like swampland, confirmed hurricanes, more than 170 animal species, and streets layered with overlapping conversations, talk radio, ads, and political robocalls. One of the sharpest lines to come out of the coverage is that there is "no background" in GTA 6 — only foreground you are not looking at. Some systems lean into realism; others stretch it a bit to keep things playing smoothly.

Lucia and Jason sit at the emotional center of all of it. Rockstar describes the pair as vulnerable, tough, and flawed — and calls Lucia the series' first fully voiced female protagonist, a genuine milestone for a franchise that has never given a woman top billing. That framing, together with the screenshots, makes the intent plain: this is a two-hander, and the relationship between its leads is the story's engine.

There is also a meta-story here worth noticing. Rockstar's rollout — a December 2023 trailer, a Netflix exclusive, a Game Informer cover story, and now a fashion magazine — keeps landing in places its competitors would never think to look. The studio is treating the final weeks before launch as a culture campaign, not a press tour. With 46 days to go, every new detail arrives wrapped in a venue designed to make people talk about it.

Grand Theft Auto 6 releases November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
